As experienced pool players, you already know that being in the Zone is an amazing experience. When you're in that Zone, everything you shoot goes in clean, every breakout settles just perfectly, and there is no table layout that you can't handle. It's an incredible experience, and one that most of us have had a precious few times in our own journeys through the pool world. On the rare occasion that we find ourselves there, it seems as if we are suddenly and inexplicably playing well above our established skill level.
I fell into the Zone last night and played some really beautiful pool. After closing time, I was driving back home and happened to find myself listening to a certain radio program. It really hit home as a visceral observation of the power and honor of experiencing that Zone.

Although I have much to learn about pool, the mental/emotional/spiritual part of the game has always been one of my favorite subjects of study.
