Theo's Colonial Inn in Union Missouri will be holding Monday NIght 8 ball tournaments throughout the remainder of the year. They start at 7:30 p.m. On the last Monday of the month there will also be a player auction making this the place to be close to St Louis on Mondays.

Starting Monday March 1st, Theo's will start an 8 ball on the break, pot which will start at $50 donated by Don, the bar owner. Any player that plays in the weekly tourney has the chance to put up a BUCK $1, one player will be drawn from the participants and will be given the chance to make the 8 on the break.

Monday March 1st will be the 1st Monday for the new break pot. It will build throughout the year as people give the break pot a shot. This should increase participation in the weekly tournaments and add incentives to come out to the last Monday of the month, due to the player auction and the break pot opportunity.

3/1/10 Break Pot will be $50 plus entrants.
Updates to this thread will be made as I receive them.

Anyone can win this tournament !!! Hell I came in 3rd tonight.:p

Break Pot Busted by ME

AJ Clemens won the tourney
Kevin Weldon came in 2nd.

Theos had 12 players in tonights event. The BREAK pot was started. I reviewed the break pot with Don and Gwynn on how it would work prior to the tourney and they agreed to add 50 bucks. The tourney had 12 players and 11 participated for a $1 in a chance to win the Break Pot,

Making the Break Pot $61 bucks.

You wont believe this but they drew my pill, from a random selection and I threw my 2 quarters in the table. A nuetral individual AKA Gavin McCluskey son of the famous HACK racked the balls for me. I pulled my break stick from my case, screwed it together and placed the cue ball dead center on table 1. Blasted the rack, and a ball came around 2 rails, hit the 8 ball and that sucker floated into the RH corner pocket. Patrick wins, Patrick wins. $61 bucks. Break pot will start again next Monday again at $50 bucks with 1 person drawn at random to try and make the 8 ball on the break. Only those that throw a buck in have a shot. Well I won more than the tournament winner. then went two and out. Headed home, or a bar near my home had a cocktail and went home.

The pot will grow to $100 bucks then the overflow will start a new pot in case anyone ever makes it again on the break? In case you are interested my funds will be SENT on the Derby on Deans Kitten $17 across the board and I will throw the buck in.

Tonights tourney results
Dave P? came in 1st place for 40 bucks
Kevin Weldon came in 2nd place for 25 bucks
Ken Ausenberger came in 3rd place for 10 bucks.

But I can tell you this weekly event with the break pot is really worth the drive from South County. The break pot will start up next Monday at $50 plus entrants and continue until someone gets lucky again and wins.

Can some mathmetician tell me the odds out of being drawn from 11 players then making the 8 ball on the break? Screw the Derby. I am buying some lottery tickets.

50 cent tables, great place and good people. If you are free on a Monday at 7:30 stop by.

MAPQUEST THEOS COLONIAL INN UNION MISSOURI OR DROP ME A PM AND i WILL GIVE YOU DIRECTIONS.

Later.:cool::cool::cool::cool::cool::cool::cool:

Oh I went back to my local area BAR, and only spent 4 quarters the remainder of the evening on pool. Beer, well those of you that know me? Still came out ahead.

Mark, it has been a very long time since I've been to that place. How many tables are there now? I'm remembering only a couple of tables way back then.

Sits right on Hwy 50 just west of the main intersection, if memory serves??

They have 3 tables

They have 3 tables and if they get 16 or more the race is to 1. Tourney moves quickly.

Yes right on 50 accross from Hardees.

12 players, players voted for a race to 2. I left at 9:30 and there were only 6 players left.

curious if the Dave P that won the tourny was Dave Patterson. Tattoo artist. Pretty good local player

He did have a lot of tattoos so?

I would have to say YES.

But Kevin Weldon was there, I just got the results from Cathy in order to post them on here.

I headed back to Fenton, and had buckets on Happy Hour Monday and spent 4 quarters in 4 hours playing some younger players that thought they could play 8 ball? I lost 1 game. But I blame the BEER.

7:30 8 ball @ Theos in Columbia.

Will have to check on the 8 ball on the break pot while I am there, as the last time I was there I won it.
