There is this guy that wants to know how much his original Balabushka cue is worth.

I never contemplated charging a fee (other than a small % of the sale price if I were able to sell the cue), and I never told the person that I am an expert on cues. The only type of service that I could possibly offer is selling the cue for the person, but I know that would not be possible without actually having the cue in my possession (and I know that that will never happen, and I would never actually expect the person to trust me, a complete stranger, and sell the cue for him). I thought that maybe I could sell the cue for the person on here (and maybe make a very small % of the sale), but now I realize that it was a very silly idea. I would imagine that would be better then if the guy took it to some billiard shop or collector (not knowing what it is worth), and really get ripped off by someone. I imagine that the guy knows how special his cue is, so hopefully he does not get conned in to selling the cue for a fraction of what it may be worth.

Tell him I will offer $500 blind.

Can we see pictures already?!?!?

What is so bad about wanting to sell the cue for the person (for a small % of the money)? Does that make me a horrible person for wanting to make a little money as a middle man (on a deal)? With good pictures of the cue (along with the original paper work from the cue maker), then why would I need to know all that much about Balabushka cues? Is it really that wrong of me for wanting to make a little money on selling the cue for him? If he were to take it to a billiard shop (or pawn shop, or collector), then they might be dis honest, and offer him like a 10th of its fair market value.

Nothing wrong with you trying to make a buck or two helping someone out with a sell but do you think you can get the guy the most money for his cue. How will you know, perhaps he would be better served getting someone that knows the cue business especially the highend market. Now you mention earlier that you might need the cue in hand to sell it and if you don't know the guy and don't have a reputation with high-end cues then it would be hard for someone to send the cue to somebody to help them sell it. It is not like you have supply of customers for Balbushka cues. You might have some info that might help the guy sell something easy but perhaps you might try to get a finders fee from someone who can actually offer premium sales service. What I am saying the people who sell this level of cue know the people who are possible buyers, they will help the current owner much more than you can most likely. But such a person might give you a taste out of the commission. This would make more sense than you trying to get it from the seller.

I thinks I could help someone sale their, Gold coins, Diamond rings or stones, Lear, Rolls, Rolex, Ferrari and Balabushka. I know all of these are valuable. If you have one of these items and you want to sell them let me know I will take maybe like 10% and will help you sell your item. I will go to forums,rolls.com or forum.lear.com etc and get some info and then I will try to sell it for you. If you think you want my help please send me the jet, car, watch or cue and I will let you know later what I urr I mean we got for your item.

On second thought I guess this does not make sense since I do not have a track record with these items, I do not own them, have not sold them and cannot even for sure ID one from a fake myself. I might not be the best choice to get you max value for your item but if you really want my help and are perhaps old and it is your most valuable possession then perhaps I might be the right person for the job so send it on. After all I do not know you and perhaps I would like to make a buck or two myself.
