Thicker wrap?

I have a linen wrap on my cue, and also have pretty large hands. Are leather wraps generally a little thicker, so as to take up more space in stroke hand? I think I would feel a little more comfortable with a thicker wrap but i've never played with a cue with any wrap other than linen. Or maybe I could have a cue maker in my area put some linen on top of my wrap? Or should i just get a cue that feels more comfortable?

Thickness of cue and how deep the wrap channel is, can vary from cue to cue. If the linen wrap is flush with the butt sleeve and forearm, I wouldn't like a thicker wrap my self.

You could try a hand grip outside your wrap - like the longoni leather wrap http://www.ozonebilliards.com/18175.html or less expensive options before you have a rewrap.

Tennis handle wrap

You can get the gauze like material used to wrap tennis handles. This would be an inexpensive way to see if you like a thicker wrap. Earl uses it on his cue. This also a roll on rubber wrap that I've seen Charlie Bryant use.

You can always have someone like Castillo cut a thicker wrap for you and have a local guy put it on.
