I don't know how good it is to be forcing yourself to do something that does not feel natural to you. Could you imagine a pool instructor watching Reyes for the first time. In fact that may apply to most of the Filipino players. An instructor would say they do everything wrong....or take it off before putting in the case... but I don't hate the tape idea either![]()
You didn't... I also haven't seen anyone specifically state that elbow drop 'after contact' is bad. Just a general comment as to it being bad. No real details provided. I think you're assuming those advising against elbow drop are declaring it as an absolute during the entire stroke, and not just prior to CB contact. I can't speak to what other's have floating around in their heads, so take the prior comment as an assumption as well.I didn’t say you drop the elbow prior to striking. Where did I say that.
Yes, I fully agree and then some... elbow drop after contact is perfectly fine regardless of the power used.but you seem to understand the concept so in a sense you’re agreeing with me. The drop the elbow happens as you follow throw on either power draw shots or follow shots. Some people in here advise against that and I feel that they’re just misinformed.
We are... just throwing two cents in as a potential explanation as to the varying opinions. So we are in an agreement I feel.
