I'm guessing that he missed the last red .... he certainly 'missed' his breakout on that ball, assuming that hitting the thing dead square can be called a 'miss'.

ball on the rail way up from the corner is considered an extremely low percentage shot, even (or should i say especially) by the professional players, and almost every time it's brought into play off another ball. didn't quite work this time though.
