Thoughts on New Bonus Ball Format

Hello all,

I've been watching the WPBL Bonus Ball league matches and was just wondering everyone's opinion on the format. Do you think it's good for pool or not so? Do you like the new game?

PS- I think the level of success it achieved speaks to all your questions.
 
They have, I believe, everything past the first two rounds loaded up on YouTube. Just search WPBL. As far as the success goes I can't seem to get a feel if it's taking hold or not. I'm not sure what the viewership looks like.

I want to know what you think about this heavier than air flight they have I just saw some newsreel about it, they are using hydrogen to float giant ballons with people. Wonder if it's a good idea?

I guess if you don't know much about Bonus Ball and just saw something on YouTube it seemed new and well produced, but it's a bit like seeing Thriller on YouTube and asking why Michael Jackson did not have a new album out recently.

Just that a new game BB is just silly. Already so many different cuesports games already and these jokers try to reinvent the wheel
But I have to say it is a High quality production and I like the club team format- wonder when someone will start a similar club league for 8b 9b or 10b
Team events appear to be very popular these days. Aside from MC, newer creations like WCOP, World Team, MP Scotch Doubles haven been quite successful

The Season 1 playoffs ended 8½ months ago. I imagine the league owner(s) have spent considerable time since then trying to sell the concept as a TV program. Although (to my knowledge) nothing has been announced yet about a Season 2, such a development would not entirely surprise me.

First off. Welcome to AZ Billiards. Without a doubt the best source for anything pool related and more.

Just be careful. This can be a rough crowd sometimes. But there is a vast amount of knowledge here. So enjoy.
