Thoughts on Pro Series Cue Cases

I'm looking for a new cue case, but not looking to break the bank. (this sounds common) I'm tried to find some information on these cases, but the work "Pro" is too short and I just end up with a lot of posts with "series" as the search criteria.

So, anyone have any experience with the Pro Series PRSE-48AC, or any other of their similar cases? I'm looking to get something that is at least 3x6 and under $100.

Thanks for the help...

If it is a Vinyl Cue Case you seek for economic reasons, I would choose a Joe Proper because their excellent warranty.

Than I would choose Mueller's to buy from because of there good prices, and great customer service.

Might be a tad over $100.00 but the Warranty make it worth it.

These are actually very nice cases. A couple of my friends have them. They are sturdy and do the job well...though they're a little heavy for me.

I've read some reviews on the site about the Proper, and some people were complaining about the inside of the tubes. If I wanted to spend some extra money I would go for an Instroke Premier, but I really started this journey looking at a Lucasi LC-5 for $55, so I can't stretch it to the Instroke.

How long have they had them? Are they holding up well? Do you know if the dividers go all of the way to the bottom of the case?

You'll have to forgive me as I'm not much of a case connoisseur. I can't recall what the inside of the case looks like, but I can tell you that they do hold some pretty expensive cues. Both of the guys I know have had the case for over a year and a half. Neither one of them have bought another case during that time. They both have the 2x4 version of the one shown in your picture.

Well I have had (2) Porpor's and never had a problem with the tubes, what were the complains you heard???

One of my Porper had a zipper go out, I sent the Case in to Porper in CA, and it got replaced free in about 10 days.

Drew - thanks for the reply... I'm pretty sure the inside of the Pro Series is just cloth dividers, not tubes. Here is a picture I found posted by krbsailing...

CocoboloCowboy - I'd have to go back and look through the posts I searched, but I found it here on AZ. I was originally looking at a Proper, but through that search I got lead to the Instroke. However, it wasn't a bunch of bad threads about it now that I think about it, and people tend to not post all of the good things, only the bad things.

About the Proper, are they spring-loaded? Can you insert the butt and shaft either way? Are the tubes made of (foam, pvc, plastic)? Do they continue all of the way to the bottom of the case?

Thanks again for the help.
