post your thoughts on how this has ran so far. all the good and the bad. ...
Mine is there was NOT enough mini events over the weekend. And i saw ALOT of empty tables. must have been alot of work getting all those tables to have them empty.
Now yours....

i made a rather long reply in your post in the main forum. napa had plenty of events scheduled but not enough players. i know nothing about the csi part.
 
Saw some really good Banks matches! More food choices than Derby. Enjoyed playing with and meeting some new, and old friends. Acu Stat booth needs a little work. Could hear commentators when they leaned back away from the booth. Bugs were bad. I think Greg and his staff did a great job in such a short time getting this together. Nice turnout! Next year will be even better IMHO. :grin-square:

is this lee ? if so i will see you this weekend or are you playing in the scotch doubles starting today.

i will be headed there in a couple of hours and plan on staying till sunday, if we make it that far in the tournament lol.

there were some issues with scheduling last weekend but i dont believe it was due to a lack of effort by bobby. i am kinda laid back and tend to go with the flow so the problems that arose last weekend did not phase me. i actually enjoyed myself.

looking forward to the apa event starting tonight. i believe there will be a lot more players this weekend. lets see how well jim runs things. i expect some hiccups , being a 1st in this area for an event of this magnitude.

if the amount of teams scheduled for the scotch doubles tonight is an indicator i believe the convention center will be crowded all weekend. 44 teams starting tonight just in the scotch doubles. that is twice as many as in any event napa put on last weekend.

to be fair to napa , they have been in this area less than a year and i really hope they grow and become a strong league in this area. i really like the format and enjoy playing on the lo's team on thursday nights.
 
Went 2 and out in the doubles last night. I started out bad and my partner was shooting good. Then I got in stroke and he started missing lil. 46 teams in the doubled.

Gonna try my luck in the singles this morning
