What if the op changes his mind and decides to delete his original post? Would the entire thread be deleted as well?
Fran, I was thinking the same thing, because you kinda let him know his post was poorly timed, as he had a second lesson coming up real soon.
Maybe he asked the moderator to remove it.
(I personally would have wanted to hear what his instructor told him about the whole issue. Sometimes hearing what is not working can be as helpful as hearing what is working)
Yeah, it was me. Fran made a good point and I hadn't thought about the thread in that perspective prior... I didn't mean it maliciously but it did seem rather disrespectful so I asked for a removal and the request was kindly obliged.

Thanks for the info Aten. I was curious because Fran's statement had caught my interest and I was curious what others might say. I didn't think you were malicious/disrespectful at all.
As students we should keep in mind every instructor teaches a subject differently. I would advise you to work with as many knowledgeable people as possible on your quest to improve. Pool is an art form, and we all paint with different colors and brushes.
Anyway, I hope you get it squared away like you want! Good luck!!
Thanks! That was originally my intent as well (really, I was just eager to try out any suggestions that anybody was willing to share with me), but Fran also makes good points... again, I don't mean to disrespect my instructor and of course I would not want to hurt my relations with him (hence the thread deletion).
From what I have seen of her posts, I would recommend listening closely to what Fran Crimi has to say. That's why I was so curious as to what would follow on your thread as I had a different opinion than hers....suspect I am probably wrong. The touchy feely side of things tend to evade my comprehension.![]()
Hey Okie, I just finished reading THE BIG MISS by Hank Haney, who writes about his experience coaching Tiger Woods. This book is a must for anyone who wants to be a coach or wants to hire one.
There's definitely no touchy-feely stuff going on with Tiger. He's ice cold... but he sticks with one person at a time. And even then, there were times where Hank was a little put-off by something Tiger said or did. Coaching is a tough gig, and a coach can not be successful without the trust of the player.
