Threaded Bumpers?

Looking to have my Cuemaker make an extension for my next cue, but I don't want it without a bumper or the trouble of uncsrewing one when I need it. I know companies like mezz and longoni have developed their own. To my knowledge the won't sell them unless you're getting them for their cues, which ain't happening. Is there a way to get myself some elsewhere? Thx!

Muellers sells just about any rubber bumper you could want, screw in and push in, I guess it would depend on what style you want. At least with Muellers you can buy them each and not have to buy 10 at a time like from Atlas.

I just made one like that for a local. The bumper remains in the cue.

PM me.

Thanks,
Alan

The are a couple of threads here and great pics of custom extensions.

I don't see why you can't purchase a Mezz kit to do it.

You should be able to buy Mezz x bumper anywhere. But if you do, then you need to figure out that thread is used on bumper so you can tap the but using same thread and size (I don't know what size it is but am curious to know) to screw in the bumper.

Then you can use Mezz extension or make one (using same thread as what Mezz uses ... I don't know what size this is too but am curious to know).

What I typically do is to make and use "donut" bumper ... just a piece of rubber to glue on. Many cue makers drill 3/8x16 threaded hole in the butt to add headless weights so I use an extension with same thread on many of my cues.

I have made a couple extensions for cues I built. I use a 3/8x16 weight bolt as a pin in the extension. Then I use s threaded bumper.
