My main job involves quite a bit of travel and sometimes it is not practical to take my cue case with me on a plane.
I was thinking of making myself a 3 piece cue, so I could just put it in my main suitcase. The joint only has to move forward about 2 inches to fix the problem.
I guess the balance might shift a bit forward due to the joint being closer to the tip, but maybe an aluminum or G10 joint would fix this.
For the rear joint, I was thinking of live tooling a wood to wood joint.
Has anyone else tried this and could offer any advice?
Otherwise, I will just give it a try, nothing lost nothing gained!
