Got to Valley Forge Thursday around noon. They seemed crowded for a Thursday. I thought last year the first day crowd was smaller. Could just my imagination.
The drill instructor puts on a really nice show. This guy runs on high all day. He must go home and sleep for a week after the show. He never slows down. He gives away a lot of good info at this demonstration.
Dr. Cue, as usual is fun to watch. Also teaches some good stuff.
I realized too late that Parica was playing Strickland. I am going to go into the pro arena on Friday. I would have gone into the arena Thursday if I had known those two were playing. Strickland won. If Deuel wins his match on the losers side then Deuel will play Parica. That means one of those great players will be out early.
Watched John Morra play Shane VB on the money tables. Shane was using a predator break stick with a phenolic tip. This was his handicap. John won the first 4 games. Then Shane started using a regular cue and he won a game. I think they were playing for $100 a game. Usually the loser get off the table, but nobody wanted to step up and play either of these two.

Thanks! Wish I could make it down Thurs and Fri - I'm sure Saturday will be an absolute zoo... but really looking forward to it.

There were more cars there yesterday than in recent years so hopefully that converts to revenue for the vendors. I watched the Parica/Strictland match and Jose really was never in it. Earl was arguing with a player practicing next to him, then with the Tournament Director, and then blamed a missed 10 ball on the TD. He received an official warning. He played great and if he can keep the outside stuff from bothering him, he should go far. That 63" cue is working well for Earl.
