Anybody play with these? I am having the triangle tip replaced with one of these on my Lucasi cue simply because it's free  and I've never had a layered tip on this cue before.
Also "Doug" is putting it on so I hope the hit does not become "Vague".

I'm sure you'll like the layered tip. Vague? Naw, just make sure you take out the rubber bumper and you'll be fine:)

You know I took the bumper out of the Pechauer and the sound changed and I did not like it. Today I played with the Lucasi and forgot to try it without the bumper.

I used Dynamite tips for a few years. I switched to Moori mediums, but not because there was anything wrong with the Dynamites. I just wanted a little softer tip.

A couple of people have said that the Dynamite tips are on the hard side. This is good for me.

Tiger Emerald

I haven't played with a Dynamite, but I just switched to Emeralds. They are also a harder tip. Shot with one for the first time yesterday and I like what I see so far. I would imagine they would play similar to the Dynamite.

Today in Denver at the Tom Ross benefit I got the shaft back with the new Dynamite tip installed. I did not get to play with it but a friend and I used it to compete in the most balls made contest. We each broke 3 racks of 9 ball as hard as we could and the tip did not flatten a bit. Probably not a bad way to break it in I think.
Doug put it on and instead of a "Vague" job he did a fine job.
And after breaking 6 racks as hard as we could the Chinese made famed Lucasi cue suffered no ill effects for those that may have been concerned.

I played last night on a 9 footer with a real cue ball and I can say that the Dynamite tip felt a bit softer then the triangle that was on it before. But it felt more solid and less harsh. Maybe this is better it felt solid and forgiving rather then a big hard thud. Anyway I like it better.
