ICEBREAKER+ Phenolic/Leather Cue Tip - Tiger Products challenged itself in creating a jump/break cue tip that makes it easier for the user to executewww.seyberts.com
Maybe the glue holding the leather in place failed and when you broke with it, the leather expanded and split the phenolic.Just to say that after 1 month of solid break the tip broke right in 2 parts, it was just a try, come back with a Taom my best of all time. The hit of Taom is more solid also.
No no, I spoke about the new Icebreaker Plus, these oneMaybe the glue holding the leather in place failed and when you broke with it, the leather expanded and split the phenolic.
The original design before Tiger, used slow drying epoxy for the leather.

The problem is the tip material, the tip develop micro cracks in the center, break after break, at first apparence they seem good stuff but in reality they are B.S. And yes break tips do better with epoxy at least some break tips, my friend had problems with White Diamond and Super Glue.Looks like another good reason to use GOOD epoxy on synthetic tips, not c/a.
I use the white diamond too, a little different though. It has an old Sumo tip turned down as it's center. It does hold with c/a fine. I just use epoxy for anything synthetic. The problem is the tip material, the tip develop micro cracks in the center, break after break, at first apparence they seem good stuff but in reality they are B.S.
