Tiger shafts

I've got an old Tiger X shaft 5/16X14, fits my back up Jacoby J-1...both 1990's vintage. 6 segments, cut pie like & glued together. Honest opinion?

It deflects about the same as the Jacoby solid maple original shaft...and deflects more than my Josey with it's standard maple shaft. Think I paid around $200 for the X shaft...That was the first and last time I suckered for the low deflection thing.

Does anybody play with or used new Tiger LD and X shafts?

Feedback?

My son bought one not long ago, I think the X or the X Pro, it was really heavy. When we looked at it, looked like there was a screw in the joint hole at the end of it going into the shaft. Played pretty stiff but the weight balance change was really big with it.

I have the tiger X-pro which was one of their earlier LD shafts. It fits my Dominiak Butt. Compared to the cues original shaft, it definitely presents with lower deflection. The feel is not as solid as a regular shaft, but it is far from a hollow feel either. I prefer a stiff feeling hit, and in my opinion, this shaft feels quite good.
