Put OB-1 as an option on it's own. Less used so therefore less feedback.

I play with an older STL-1 with the 314-2, and it hits as sweet as the regular shaft.............minus the deflection! :D

OB-1 for me. I bought it from Shane at Plat Billiards about a year ago and it has been great! Upgraded to a sniper tip. Only con is it does get a bit dirty and hard to clean on the ferule since its wood.

Previous shafts: standard Lucasi, 314, z, intimidator (pretty close to ob-1).

Just got a Tiger UltraX shaft last night. Flat joint 3/8 x10.

I can just say DAMN!!! What a great feeling. Not dead, not pingy hard, just a good solid feel with exceptional control. It is just going to take a little bit of adjusting because I was getting a bit too much action and over running my desired position. I can see where this will more than likely help me because I am going to be able to get to where I need to be with a lot less effort. Balls hit softer seem to drop a lot easier than jarring ones.

I just wish I would have made the switch a long time ago. Oh yeah, Breaking with this thing is the nuts. (Although I am going to have to get Corey's input on this. I am not sure if the shaft and ferrule is made for this.)

This is good to here. I am trying to adjust to a stock Schon shaft with an Ivory ferrule. I am working on a trade with it and my old cues. Problem I am having is the lack of spin I am used to getting from my previous OB-1/314's.

What did the shaft set you back? Can you notice a big difference in deflection? Who did you say you bought it from?

I got the shaft from feltmaster. I saw one in the wanted for sale section this morning for 125. but I do not think it was the ultraX. I think I remember seeing them for 179 at seyberts.
Adjusting to the stock shaft and aiming want hard, hell I can hardly notice. But the spin I can generate is out of this world.
 
tj-i think if you was to go with a sniper tip you would get better spin.imo. george
 
Universal Smart Shaft for me. I am stock piling these bad boys as I don't ever want to have to play with anything else. They are DEADLY.

I may just do that, it's all I kind think about. I have vacation days to burn and we are slow. I am in the service industry and nothing is broke right now and we have 3 techs.
