If someone paid me to show them a few pointers in pool, and I did Miller's drill on spin id say 9 times out of 10 id be laughed at. And even in the drills when he closes his eyes, he was wrong both times about where the spin was going. Not to mention having two balls in the pocket makes the pocket oh about 8 inches wide. And im pretty sure they edited the last shot in the side pocket. Because it didnt look like the original shot was going to go in. I know the Monk has a lot of Jargon regarding the inner game, and he tries to bring a metaphysical aspect to it. At one point I even considered paying the absurd prices he asks for (I mean I saw a VHS in a store once for like 80 bucks) but now I thinking im glad I didnt. Has anybody done all the courses? Do they get better? It just seems ironic to me that someone who on the surface seems to take himself too seriously with dramatic fanfare (such as the way he tries to mix philosophy of life with pool) ends up, as I watch him, to be kinda...funny. Or am I missing something like wax on wax off with the Karate Kid movie, and this is somehow supposed to "point the way" to more sophisticated drills, like something anybody can't do with two arms.

for dummies-he has your attention already

In my opionion (the monk) stuff is not worth it. He came to town and for 500. bucks 6-7 people signed up. Not I. It is a good way for a room owner to make money. but will it make you a champion like he claims-not. He's right there with our not so popular guy-selling bks, vitamins etc. He doesn't even believe you should use video tape to check things out. On that pt. alone I made my descision. It is a pyramid type deal you get so many to sign up and you get cash. And then he trains the monk masters to go into the world of league players - who has he made into a pro?- mark

Thanks for the response, something tells me he hasn't turned anyone into a legend.

"The Monk" on Kevin Trudeau's website, what's the old saying... "Birds of a feather flock together".
