Yes it is full splice.in the making of the cue under the wrap area that put in what we call the handle of the butt of the cue.in this case it is made of laminate wood sort of like a tiger or predator shaft for stability and a harder hitting cue.i have another that i used for a short bit of time built the same way and it hits tremendous.

interested

wow

If you can get that cue from TS for $2400 let me know. We'll sell 10 and make a killing. Is this the same cue that was for sale by someone else late last week?

Then i suggest you go to his website: http://www.timscruggs.com/TS-newcue-79.htm
Look at #79 and here is what Mike Cochran wrote me:

Hi Randy,
#79 has 2 shafts with Ivory ferulles. Triangle Selects for the tips. The price is 2400.00.

Get your checkbook out!

I was interested in the one listed here simply because I want a lighter color cue to match my Whitten Peanut Gator Case. Looks like I'll buy the Drexler instead. In this economy I'm looking for a good deal. If I don't get what I want here, I will buy at the show in Marietta next month.

With all due respect...once a full splice has been cut to add a handle under the wrap, it is no longer a full splice cue...it is a conversion cue to short splice.

That is Correct..........So cue is not still a Full Splice and should be noted to any potential Buyers to avoid confusion.

Thanks...........Paul

ok i will make the full splice change it is so close to the points coming to a point at the wrap area though.

I believe the correct way to list this cue for prospective buyers is to call it a Scruggs Titlist Conversion.

I wasn't trying to be picky, but there is a big difference between a Titlist cue blank that has been left pretty much intact, with a wrap added...and a Titlist cue blank where, perhaps due to a warp in the handle area of the original blank, that section has been cut out and a new handle added by means of an A joint...thus now taking it from a full splice with no additional joints added, to a short spliced conversion with the A joint added.

While this technique is widely used in converting those Titlist blanks with 'issues' and by no means makes it less of a great cue...most prospective buyers would want to know this information. Some, like myself, are 'purists' with regards to acquiring strictly full spliced cues...whether a wrap has been added or not. Others just want the historical significance that owning a Titlist constructed cue carries with it.

I wish you all the best with your sale!! I will note, however, that pictures and a posted price will go a LONG way in helping you to a successful cue sale. My intent is only to give some helpful tips when attempting a cue sale here. There are a lot of very knowledgeable buyers here...and want to help you avoid a situation where someone may feel that the cue was misrepresented in any way.

ok thanks for the advise and let me start by saying this was converted from a brand new titlist 1 piece cue that was new still with the plastic wraping on it.have you ever seen one i have had 3 of them and paid an average of $1,100 each for them.so there wasntmuch of a chance of the butt sections warping since they were never played with or put into a wall rack in an old pool hall even the plastic wraping was in good shape.there is a section under the wrap area which most cuemakers in converting these into cues replace this section with cheap maple that wasnt good enough to be made in a section that would been seen and have to a clear finish over it.this cue in that area was put together with a laminated wood like a tiger shaft which makes it very strong and hard hitting.i was playing with another one that tim made me and had high runs of 191 and 167 playing straight pool with it and had to put it away as i have a cue sponsor now and play with the cues that are custom made for me.thanks so much for your help.i hope i have explained it better now and oh yeah the cue is for sale if you or anyone else is interested. Accepting offers

LoL!...if I thought for a moment I could afford a cue like this one, I would have been all over it...trust me! Sadly, strictly eye candy for me.

Thank you for not taking offense at my post...it was truly meant to be strictly helpful. I have been a long time member of AZ, seen a LOT of cues bought and sold here...and others that didn't. I have gotten to see what works and what doesn't...and would hate to see this one languish...it's a nice cue.
