Cue A
2005 4-veneer cocobolo into tiger maple veneers are black/brown/blue natural maple (white). Piloted Stainless joint 5/16 pin. Butt sleeve cocobolo w/ivory Hoppe ring. Maple dot-dash rings at A and B. This cue comes with 4 shafts. All four shafts have ivory ferrules. Two shafts are the original shafts, both 13mm and unplayed. The cue weighs 20.1 oz. and plays out at 58" with either Scruggs shaft and 20.5 oz. and plays out at 58 1/2" with either Tibbitts shaft. Ths cue has no dings, nicks or scratches....99.9% condition. It comes with a full set of TS plastic joint protectors (4 shaft protectors and one butt protector), the one for the butt has a chip out of the edge of it but is fully functional.

Price $1,500.00 shipped

It has an Ivory buttplate, ivory inlays in the point work, Ivory inlays in the butt sleeve, ivory joint and ivory ferrules. Joint is flat-faced Ivory joint with 3/8" radial pin. Thanks, Shorty!

Very very nice Scruggs' you have there ! I really like those ! Hoppe style with 4 shafts for $1.5k and an ivory-decorated one for $2k, have very good prices as Timmy's work is going up in price. I think someone is going to have nice cues for good money. I'd go for the Hoppe cue, but shortage of cash...

Cues ...

Real nice points on the first one, but I just don't care for
plain butt sleeves.

I like the 2nd one quite a bit.

His cues do seem to command a pretty good price per design.
I would like to hit with one sometime.

It's hard to describe the hit. It's relatively stiff, but not too stiff. The Ivory jointed one has that "special" feel, you know? The "hit" of a cue is such an individual preference anyway. A lot of people like the hit of a Meucci....to me it's like playing with a noodle. I'm so used to my old Tibbitts it's hard for me to really play with anything else....it's like an old friend, you know?

Hmm, when I bought my Scruggs almost a year ago, it felt like an old friend from the very first shot. Some rare cues feel like that. That is the only Scruggs I've tried so far, but wouldn't hesitate to invest on another one. The hit is crisp and stiff, but very lively. I've tried many cues with crisp and stiff hit but very dull and dead feeling, mostly more expensive production cues seem to give such a hit.

Ah... I need a quick $1.5k from somewhere ! Please, lottery, a B-hustler with a big fat wallet, a poker tourney victory, big fat wad of bills on the street, I'd take anything right now ! Scruggs-fever is here... :D

Thanks, Mike. Yep...I've never had anything but pleasant experiences with Tim and Mike.

I'm going to give this a couple more days, then list these on Ebay....

Bump...

4-pointer may possibly be sold to Rappongi....

6-pointer still available.....

Hey Gerald,
I need to correct something I told you, re: the 6-pointer.
After you bought this cue from me, I've come to find out that I was not the 3rd owner as stated. I was the 4th owner. Sorry, I was unaware of this at time of our transaction!

I went to Side Pockets on a Friday night a few months back, to meet someone that had questions about another adventure, I had planned.
Was approched by the 3rd owner. He caught me off guard as I was unaware of what he advised. It turns out that he in fact did own this cue at one point & then traded it back to the 2nd owner. He is now looking for that cue. I advised him I sold it to you. He knows you. You also know him.

Sorry, that I kept the 3rd owners name secret until this point, you will understand, the name is Woody McClure.

Woody wants this cue back.

Oh, by the way, the cue tips are Morri med.
