All,

DEAL IS DONE, SCRUGGS CUE AND WHITTEN CASE IS GONE! THANKS, YA'LL:)

I'm looking to trade a MINT Tim Scruggs Hoppe cue. This cue was purchased just a little while ago from Tim...and I've since squared away a couple others...so this one's up for trade.

Here's the intel on it:

58"
Approx. 18.3-18.4 ounces (by my scale)
Birdseye maple forearm with 4 cocobola points
Veneers of maple, green, orange, and black
White with green specs Irish Linen wrap
Cocobola Buttsleeve with Ivory Hoppe ring and black buttcap
Ivory rings and maple/black checkwork at A and B positions
5/16x14 SS piloted joint
2 shafts at 13mm, both with ivory ferrules (1 shaft very lightly used...and 1 shaft is brand new, never hit with)

This gorgeous cue comes with a leather 1x2 Whitten case with the "TS" logo, and a complete set of joint protectors...again, with the "TS" logo.

I'm not looking to sell it outright (unless the offer is really good :)). I'm more interested in a trade for a cue of equal quality and value.

Check out the pics, and PM me with any interesting trades!!

Thanks.

Rat

What kind of cues are you looking for in trade? If you are looking for multiples, I would love to trade with you.

Update.....

All,

In an effort to make my collection pics more interesting (:D ), I thought I'd offer a quick list of cues that I'm interested in. Bear in mind, I'm willing to trade the Scruggs...plus some cash...for the right cue that comes along.

Here's a quick lowdown on some cues on my wish-list:

Black Boar
Blue Grass
Capone
Kikel
Mottey (4 pointer)
Palmer (yes..the older ones! :) )
Southwest (basic)
Tad (basic)
Titlist conversion (not just an old Willie Hoppe with a new tip on it)
James White

It's not an all-encompassing list...but it'll give you an idea! :)

Hit me up with some offers, folks. I LOVE to deal!

What a beautiful cue, just like most TS'es. A friend of mine has a similar TS hoppe cue for sale, unplayed bloodwood with ivory joint and MOP dots. How much would a cue like this go for? I'm thinking 1300-1400, but not sure.

gr. Dave and good trading

Dave,

Thanks much. Yeah, the cue is gorgeous...and plays fantastic, too.

That's a good lower-end ballpark figure on the cue itself...but let's not forget the ivory hoppe ring and joint rings...as well as the Whitten matching case, too! :)

Tim's 4 pointers are selling for upwards of 1800-1900, base price.

I bet your buddy's bloodwood cue is awesome. I've got an ebony cue with bloodwood points and veneers as well...and it's gonna be buried with me!! :) :) :)

Wow, those were some fast responses. I certainly wasn't trying to lower your price on the cue, especially with the Whitten case, just trying to figure out if I should buy my buddies cue.

Dave,

Yeah...I'm kinda quick on the draw when it comes to posting in a thread. I love this forum, and it passes the time when I'm up 4 hours earlier than usual and have nothing else to do but focus on my hobby! :)

No worries, sir. I know you weren't trying to lower my trade value. It was an honest question...

My personal opinion is...if you can get into a Scruggs, DO IT!!! The man makes a killer cue, and he's one of the best there is! Your buddy's cue sounds awesome...and if I were you, I'd buy it.

Just my $.02

Be good, and have a great weekend.

Mark

I agree

Vey classy cue in every way! Monster player! Balanced to perfection! I like it and if I hadn't traded it to Timi for a higher end cue ( It was still new) It would be my player!

Thanks, Matt and Nick.

One last bump for the TGIF folks. I've got a couple REALLY interesting possibilities on the table...so thought I'd bump it up one more time, just so everyone gets a fair shake.
