i might embark on a sale of a new tim scruggs sneaky pete with a phenolic joint and ivory ferrule with one shaft. what do you think this is worth. i know he stopped making these about 5 years ago, this collector i am buying this from bought this from a good friend of tim's a while back. First what do you think it is worth? and what would you pay for it? thanks for the help.

Ts Sp

Probably paid too much for mine, but I bought a used one, plain wood joint, perfect shaft, 2 small dings in the butt for $360. One shaft. I don't regret it.

One way to check the current market is on eBay; set up a search for "Scruggs cue SP Sneaky" - go into advanced search features, and check the box for closed auctions only. This will show you what they've been selling for (note that some auctions closed at less than reserve so you can't count them).

....and, maybe another way to think about it. Bob Frey, who made a number of the TS SP cues, now sells his own. A TS ought to be worth at least as much (depending upon condition, no?):
