why is it your place to get a price range started? I don't like the make a offer thing either, but people can sell things how they want here.

If I offered him 200, and he turned it down should I complain about that?

If he doesn't give you a price back, then i do think you have a right to complain. No one should have to guess what someone wants for something, then still not know after making a respectable offer. You're absolutely right in that a seller can sell the way they want, be it they list a price or take offers. But the way it should work IMO is if the seller gets an offer that is too low, they should have to counter by giving a price that they are looking for, that way they potential buyer has a chance to say yes or no. Like Joe said, there's a good lesson here, just put a price on it and this whole mess can be avoided.

Let's try this cue again $425 shipped postal m/o for $425 I don't want to pay paypal also heres a descreption again butt rolls straight shaft has 1 credit card warp lift when rolled. I have a Scruggs sneaky with the white butt cap and TS logo. It is 5/16 14
Shaft has a small gouge and a little lift but still plays great, and gouge is not in stroke area. The shaft gouge could be fixed by a repir guy with ease. Nice player with a few marks that has some good looking wood. Thank you Mike
