you might also try emerald med/hard tip i use it and its the best thing ive ever played with

well, right now i'm shooting with a Coker, Tom just made me a new shaft and turned down the original shaft. both are at 12.25mm now. but, i've tried all the low defection shafts predator 314-2, z-1, z-2, ob-1, ob-2, tiger x, and the Coker, in my opinion is the best one. i love the feel of the full maple shaft. i've also tried production cues that my friends own, and a couple other customs, but the coker just feels right. but, i guess i havent found the right tip for the shaft that im using, or can it be just me?

I love the Sniper tips on my Predator shaft and I like it pretty good on my AE cue. I put a sniper tip on my Runde cue and I hated it. I tried to get use to it and I couldn't so I put the emerald tip on it.

Your favorite tip will most likely be different with different cues and shafts.

I have put on maybe 8 Sniper tips so far and sometimes I like them from the start, as in brand new on the cue, and sometimes I don't like how they play until they get some play on them. Using the tips for some break shots helped make them settle in faster. And as on my Runde cue, I didn't like it at all, ever.

Another thing is if you put a new tip on a cue and don't like it, shave it down thinner and see if you like it before you change the tip. If you don't mind using your cue for a breaks, do many breaks with it, trim it thinner and re-shape it, you might like the tip after that.

Some companies say they have a modified tip, or propriety tip. Most of the time it is a plain Jane tip that has been pressed and installed thinner.
