Tip Choice-does it matter??? What does Efren use?

Let's find the oldest ever thread and have a revival
Looks like it's this one.

This is the oldest tread. Looks like their was an old forum and the database never switched over to this format.

Honestly why does it matter what someone else uses
Yep. I've been through the "using the tip so and so uses". Try many, and use what works for you.

And don't stop trying different tips. Learn to install them yourself on a "secondary" cue. Try them. So far, I've settled on Morri Hard. But I've been recently convinced to try a WB brand single layer tip. We will see if I like it or not.

Will never use a LePro again. Too inconsistent for me. Too much maintenance. And when you get a good one, they play (feel) best at the end of their life. Then you have to change it and start the process all over again. That is based upon my experience. Others milage may vary. I just don't like them. We all know LePros are water buffalo hide. I will see if the WB brand is any different.

What It all boils down to is use the tip that is right for you. Use many. And give them a fair test. Shooting with one for 5 minutes isnt going to show a tips potential. Your tip preference may change as your skill level changes. That's why you must try them often.

There isn't a single person on here that can tell you that their choice of tip is best for you.

My latest favorite cue came with a Tiger Everest med. I wouldn't know a Tiger Everest from a Lizard Death Valley but this thing definitely does the job. Still domed, unflared, and more or less the same feel.
