Tip replacement final height

You can buy a pin for your joint and use a drill to turn your shaft, when I use a paper sand file I fill up from butt to tip center.

I wasn't arguing just saying I've played with that shape for 24 years and havnt miscues. I was just saying is that your take or do you know of many top players that after they dime shape go back and sand the edges for that angle? Just a question that's all

Ok is it all preference for final tip height? Just finished putting black tip on Predator 314 shaft and did dime shape tgat just took off the top layer so full length and looks weird.
Do most people cut off 1/4-1/2 length of leather then shape for better looks?

It's a Mezz WX-alpha shaft, Mezz just calls the material "NX" my guess is that it's some kind of micarta, it certainly looks like it.

I think that cue balls are made of different materials. If this is so then the tip will grab one differently than the other. If that is so it may require a different crown etc. ? What do you think?

My choice of Snooker tip and hockey stick. Thinking ice because 80F today and too hot. Still some snow in the mountains so that’s where we’ll be hiking tomorrow.

‘My’ ideal tip after its broken in after a month or so. Ever so slight mushroom to get Tasmanian Devil spin .I like them on the short side..likely last about 8 months to a year, Cue point is 8.9 mm. Cue a bit stained but played with it most days for 13 years or so.
