Tip Technology matters 😂

I bought a new predator sp2 maybe 6 months a go. It’s came with a 12.4 revo which I knew quickly I liked better then the 12.9 I had been playing with for a long time. I ended up putting my 12.9 revo on my bk3 thinking tips not that big of a deal. It’s a medium tip. It will break fine And it seemed fine. Not quite the action but I liked how it felt. The last 6 weeks or so my break has been terrible. I was tearing every part of my break a part. Am I not hitting the head ball solid? Is my spot I use just not working for me anymore. ( I don’t use a magic rack) am I not shifting my weight properly? nothing seemed to matter. I just wasn’t dropping balls consistently at all. A few days a go I threw my original bk3 shaft with whatever break tip it is that predator puts on back on the cue . I could tell a huge difference right away. 1) I forgot how much lighter it is with that shaft 2) how much more action you get with a true break Tip Without losing control from breaking as hard as I can! I‘m back to averaging 2 balls on the break without trying to murder the cue ball and all is well. I’m sure I’m now going to get the guys saying they never use a break cue or they don’t use a break tip and they break great and I’m full of it but for me obviously TIP TECHNOLOGY MATTERS ! 😂

Sometimes it is a matter of finding the right tip for you and that shaft and that handle.
I went out yesterday with a buddy to a poolhall to play some pool. We played a couple of games of 8 ball then switched to 9 ball. I've only had my cues out 4 times in the past 23 years and the Champion tip (break cue) and Moori ( playing cue) have been on for at least 25 years. I scuffed them a bit and they hold chalk quite well which surprised me. I could tell the Moori (med) had hardened and only affected some shots. I still managed some decent length draw shots but could hear/feel the hit. I'll change them both in the near future
