Can anyone recommend a good tip tool, I want something like a tip pik but wider, no cap needed. I've tried the shadow tip pik but takes to much effort to use. Any suggestions are welcome. Thanks , Jim
Joe Porper used to make a porcupine tapper. It's bigger than the Tip-Pik. Although I do not see one on his website. Maybe he doesn't make them any more. I had one back in the day and liked it a lot.
In my humble opinion the best (and only) tool you need to care for your cue tip is the Tweenten Tip shaper. It's a curved metal piece about 6" long that holds a piece of sanpaper.
the sanpaper can be used to shape your tip, or tap on your tip with the sanpaper to open it up to accept chalk better.
