Tips on a Revo

I was thinking the same thing...... user error maybe?

Obviously user error. I have no idea how to play pool.
The first time one came apart, I was actually playing Steve Titus, former Predator man. Steve loves those tips, so I’m sure it’s just me.

In response to the OP, my experience with the REVO has been that the tips become harder with play to a greater degree than with other shafts. I therefore went to a Moori soft the last time I replaced my tip, and it went to a medium hardness pretty quick, but has not gotten harder than that. Mediums that I had installed ended up feeling like a break tip. The softest feeling tip I have had on my REVO was the Victory that came with it. Problem with thqt tip was that it didn't hold it's shape worth a damn. Played good, though

Revo shafts have an incredibly hard (and numbing in my opinion) vault plate at the top, rather than a ferrule. This material is ultra hard - I think it is harder than g10 or close to it, but lighter. That hardness is why all REVO's come with a Predator Soft tip (factory).

I feel like the REVO has no touch because of this plate, it plays number to me in terms of feeling anything in my stroke arm where I can develop muscle memory.

I also think the front end, at least for me, requires a soft tip, other wise, the cue ball explodes off and I don't have any touch. I never could play one pocket with a REVO anyway.
