Things must be getting busy out there already. I got a few banged up boxes from UPS last week & I just received a shaft in this shipping tube today. The other sides were just as bad. Fortunately, the owner had the foresight to first slide the shaft inside a length of PVC pipe, surrounded with high density foam.

Just a reminder to always pack things carefully but especially during holiday season.

Wouldn't it be interesting if you could mount a motion detecting camera on a pakage. At least you would know what happened to it. This pakage looks like it may have been drug behind or run over by the truck. Thanks for sharing.
 
Great reminder Bob. USPS free shipping tubes have been horribly weak for a few years now. Their older tubes are great but now almost impossible to find. I pay about $2 for the same sturdy tube the post office used to provide for free. Another brilliant idea of usps is to confuse everyone with their blending of the words "priority" and "express" so that people can easily overpay for shipping.

I think that fragile should be changed for: Be f****g carefull!!, then, maybe packages will be treated better :D
 
The absolute worst thing anyone can do it mark a package 'fragile' or 'this side up', etc. It instantly becomes a target. We tested this with UPS and even our UPS drivers said to not mark the packages. I've seen worse! I was once delivered an empty box that weighed 50lbs.
