Question for the readers:I have a Titleist conversion cue(purpleheart) that my favorite cuemaker did for me that in my opinion plays great. It seems like someone is regularly telling me that i shouldnt be using this as my regular player due to rarity, older adhesives used in the titleists,etc.,etc.Does any one here play with a titlest conversion cue as their main cue or have any opinions on this? Thanks,M.S.

Play with it

I have a Bob Manzino titlest conversion and i play with it all the time. If the adhesives were so bad, why after all these years arent they falling apart. If you had it rebuilt and a new finish put on i say play with it. I love mine and have 3 more conversions under way. Selling all my other cues and focusing on a titlest collection.

A lot of them do. I have several butts that are in pieces with points popping out. These were production made cues that in most cases were just made with wood glue not state of the art epoxies. I use to play in a room and all the house cues were titlist. They were nothing special, just mass produced as a house cues and pretty much expendable. Balabushka, Paradise, and a few others used them like guys today like to make sneaky Petes out of house cues. It was quick and easy and cheap. Today somehow they have caught on as being something special.
