REDUCED to $650!! Titlist Conversion for Sale - LARGE PICTURES Attached
OK, this REALLY needs a new home. Reduced for very quick sale to $650 shipped and Paypaled. Or, if just by chance you happen to have any of the following Canon photo gear, I would chat about trades up or down. Canon gear must be mint:
Canon 17-40 L lens
Canon 1D Classic
Canon 1D MKIII, or
the right Palmer cue as mentioned below
Taking a loss on this, but it is just not for me. Hopefully this final markdown will make it attractive for someone to grab.

OK, bought this cue in the last two weeks hoping this was the one I have been looking for for my playing cue. Unfortunately, it was misrepresented a bit by the seller (NOT here on AZ) and after a few hours of shooting with one shaft, I have decided to sell it and keep looking. May entertain the right trades up or down and see those details at the end.
The seller had said:
- MIKE STACEY - TITLIST CONVERSION CUE - HAND TURNED - TWO SHAFTS
RETAIL PRICE IS $1,200 - New - One Shaft Test Hit Only
IN CUSTOM HARD CASE - FROM WILLIE HOPPE TITLIST - HAND REMADE
IVORY RING AND HOPPE STYLE BUTT CAP - FOUR POINT - WITH TITLIST VENEERS - MINT
Full Splice Willie Hoppe Titlist Cue - Converted -
MADE LIKE A BALABUSHKA - STANLESS STEEL JOINT WITH NICKLE RINGS
FOUR MOTHER OF PEARL NOTCHED DIAMONDS IN THE BUTT and FOUR IN THE POINTS
58 1/4 Inches - 20 Oz. - GREATER FEEL AND BALANCE
WALNUT WOOD HANDLE AND WALNUT POINTS WITH VENEERS - RETURNED - FULL SPLICE
The Handle was Lathe Re-Turned for greater feel and playability from the JOINT to the BUTT CAP
STAINLESS STEEL TRIM RINGS IN JOINTS OF TWO CUSTOM TURNED SHAFTS - 12.95 mm
NEW IRISH LINEN WRAP - MINT CONDITION CUE - Re-Balanced
So, full disclosure, here is what I found:
Not 20 OZ but 18.9 and 19.2 depending on the shaft. I cannot verify it is a Mike Stacey and Mike does not return my email. No reason not to believe the seller, but... And then, again no reason to disbelieve, but the ad implied this had no cored handle and was a full piece from the joint to ivory ring. Without removing the wrap, I cannot verify this. Nor am I positive it is walnut not being a wood expert.
The butt cap is not flush to the ivory ring. You can see this in the pictures. Likewise, which you cannot see, the ferrules are not quite flush to the shafts. The bottoms of the points are not quite perfect near the wrap. The case (which looks much better in person than these pics which are VERY revealing) has a few small chips in the vinyl.
The cue is dead straight in all ways and very nice. If I were to keep it, I would have the butt cap turned and refinished and maybe even re-wrapped to come up a 1/4 or 3/8ths in to cover the bottoms of the points. And likely take the ferrules down just a touch. What you might do is up to you. It really is not bad at all as it is, but I am a perfectionist.
So, I would take $875 including Priority shipping and PayPal from a verified buyer with good refs including the case and joint protectors. I'm looking for a heavy Titlist conversion or Palmer D, 10, etc, very front balanced and will consider trades up or down.
Now for the pics:
I exceeded the picture limit so more to folllow in the next post.
