Titlist conversion options

There appears to be two ways to convert a Titlist cue,

1, Extend the butt and over wrap part of the full splice.
2, Dissect the cue into pieces and install a new handle.

What do you see as the pros and cons of either approach, or does it all depend on how the Cue Maker likes to do it?

I’m looking to have one made for me in the near future and have an open mind as to how and who to have make it.

Thanks in advance for your opinions.

Keep it full splice if you can and if you don't necessarily want a wrap. How do the points look up and down?? Is the blank long enough to keep full splice and are there any cracks in the butt that need to be cut out?? How does the wood look?? Do you want the points near the joint or are you okay with a cue that looks like the ol' Rambows??

Just a coupla questions :o

Yes, dissecting the titlist at the handle would defeat the purpose of a conversion the raison d etre for getting a titlist would be to conserve the full splice. You can have the joint cut closer to the points and add a buttsleeve at the bottom

Then turn the butt down to get rid of all the dings and scratches

Nice looking cue on a "later" Titlist blank. Interesting design for added butt piece. Is that a phenolic or an ivory joint?

Like they say everything that's white is ivory

Depends on if you want deco-rings in front of the wrap area.
