Titlist cue old conversion Doc Fry/Balabushka shafts

SOLD SOLD SOLD1!!! Pending Payment

This is a 40-50 year old conversion cue that was literally a house cue that was cut in the half then converted. Because it came out of the Phidelphia area it ti thought to be a Doc Fry by the gentleman that reconditioned the cue. He also maintains large collections with Doc's cues in them and his thoughts are exactly these.
When i took the cue in trade I had to wounder if it was a Balabushka to my self because the balance and feel and hit was exactly like my old Balabushka.
So I sent the cue to Bill Schick and his thoughts were the shaft I sent just looked loke Georges work and I kept the second because you never know what will disapear in shipping. The origional shafts are ivory ferreled and 29 and 30 inches and not very straight.
The shafts are .808 and were cut oviously down to fit the butt. We think the butt was a after thought for some extra shafts. Or a busted Bushka butt.
The cue also has a new non ivory ferrel 13 mm shaft.
The leather wrap is also new. The butt is now flawless thanks to Jerry Rauenzahn. A couple days here then off to the bay-- I hope not!
I have had a couple PM's about this cue so send offers.
As always satisfaction is gaurenteed as money back minus shipping and still no returns!

Nice Stick Nick

Hey there, what type of pin/joint? And for Jimbo's sake can you tell us the tonnage of the hit?!? :D

p.s. -- very clean looking conversions too! ;)

Hay Ken

Jimbo deserves our respect here and I want to appologise for calling him the things I did. Jimbo has a passion for cues that is second to none. I have never met him but I have to respect him for what he is a serious collector!
Rock solid hitting cue after all I thought it hit like my old Bushka!
Nick :)

Well, I will take advantage of your 'loving' mood to communicate with you. Did Jerry also do the leather wrap? Is it that nice thick stuff he sometimes uses?

...and, did Jerry make the new shaft?

Jerry's work and a PM

The work is flawless and the leather is plusher than I am used to seeing. The new shaft is Jerry's I just wish I thought to have it ivory ferred :( to match the Bushka shafts.

do you have letters stating all of this information? or is it just from talking with them on the phone? emails? Just trying to see how will this cue could be backed up after it leaves your hands. Thanks.

John

My reply
You can always call Bill Schick about the shaft I sent him 318-723-8322
and Jerry is usually to busy to be bothered 814-723-8322. he maintains more than a few Fry cues.
So there you have it.
And satisfaction is gaurenteed as money back. These days no sense making up stuff about cues check my threads and you can draw your conclusions as to my cue sales. 100% satisfied and I want to keep that rep above all!
Thanks
Nick

I did omit some details about other interested parties
And Bill is buisy as a bee too! But they are good guys and both love to talk!
