A local poolhall has replaced their 9ft commercial Sterling tables with Diamond Pros. The Sterlings are well used but very playable. The tables seem to be a good deal at 900 each. My question is, is there anything funny about these tables that should make me leary of buying one of them?

Thanks for any info that can be provided.

Sterling was a line of tables made by peter vitalie. Table was a little cheaper then their main line. Peter vitalie makes a decent table but
generally regarded as a home table, not built for the rigors of a commercial
enviroment. tables always played decent in my opinion but not a substitute
for a diamond or crown.

It's been several months but I recovered about 12 of them with new rail rubber in a pool room. The only things I can remember was the blind rails were all loose and the brackets had loose screws all easy fixes. the other thing was when you tighten down the corner casting's the formica rail tops would sometimes buckle like they were longer then the wood rails so it would chip if you didnt file\sand down the edge of the formica. all these tables were probably 15 years old.

One table I put accufast rubber on and hit all my 3 and 4 railers nice and smooth. the others I put champion tour edition rubber on and they played just as nice I didnt test them as much. It's been awhile I should go down and test the tables again, in january I will recover the other 6 tables.

$900 might be high unless it includes light sticks and balls .

best of luck,
Craig
