To Blackjack RE: "T" Drill

Blackjack,

Your drills in your Yahoo group look very challenging and can't wait to start practising on them when I get my new table...

On the "T" drill, you haven't made it clear which pocket the balls should be going in...presuming they are pocketed in numbered order. If I was to guess I would need to play shape on the 2-Ball for the side pocket??

Thanks

Here is where the balls should go. You figure out how to do it.

This is not the only solution.

This is pretty wicked, Dave. I have to draw the CB cross side back (almost) to the 4 to get position on the 2. That's the toughest shot in the drill. Miss this, I might as well start over.

From the 2, One rail straight across to the 3 (natural follow on the 2 maybe a little left), leave the CB on the "5" line at the 2nd diamond), one rail to the 4 (natural on the 3, leave the CB midway between the 4 and 5), one rail to the 5 (slow draw on the 4, with a little left), Get straight on the 5, follow past the 9 to the third diamond for the 6, natural one rail for the 7 , stop shot on the 7 for the 8, slow follow on the 8 for the 9 in the side or the corner.

Great drill. I need a little bit of everything; draw, follow, right, left, and stun, to be successful. It's all about speed, the CB never goes past the side pockets. I never use more than one rail for position. Other than the 5 and maybe the 9, I can do the whole drill on 1/2 a table.

It took me a half hour to work this all out. (That's with you giving me the right pockets!) I think if I got to up to the 4 in a real game, I would set up for the 5-9 in the side. LOL

I'll try it, but it's going to take me 6 months of practice to actually do it. (if I'm lucky)
