i never said "i know how to make a cue" i said, there is no difference between flat faced, and pioleted joints, yet there is a difference between phenlonic and stainless steel. maybe there is a difference between all the different pins? i'm the expert in actually playing pool, while your the expert in making cues, i am not argueing that point. i know nothing about making cues. here is what i know about what effects how a cue plays. the length, a short 56 inch cue will play much differently than a 60 inch cue. the weight, a 14 oz. cue will handle differently than a 25 oz. cue. and finally, an 11 mm tip will play differently than a 15 mm, besides that, the inlays, the pins, the wrap, the maker, the price~~~~ not much of a difference, is there a differnce? if you say so, i'll take your word. is it a noticable difference, yes and no, yes, if your obssessed, no, if you want to play pool, and concentrate on the big picture. players like strickland, bustamante, souquet, will not say hmmmmmmm, i think i'll change my pin, because this will help me win the u.s. open this year, however they will say, "shit, i've just got to get rid of this moori, and get back to a triangle, to help me win the u.s. open this year. hope i've made my point clear, i'm not saying different pins won't change the cue, but what i am saying is, it's not noticable, enough to fuss about.
