To jump or to kick?

In another thread, Larry Nevel says he uses the Bunjee Jumper and the Stealth Jump cue. He said the Bunjee is easier to use, but that the Stealth is more accurate.

Based on his comments, I ordered a Stealth and it arrived today. Already tried it out, put it through it's paces. While I can't jump easily with it at less than about 6 inches, I have another jump cue I use and can usually clear a ball that is perhaps 2 chalk widths away.

The Stealth cue is pretty good.... and with the third section that comes with it doesn't really look all that short. It's probably close to 50 inches long, although I didn't measure it.

Get one, and learn how to use it. Next time you're in a situation where if you kick at a ball and you very likely will sell out, or jump it and save the day, tell me if you kicked and missed and as a result lost the game which lost the match which means you maybe lost a few thousand dollars if it was worth it being a "purist"... Or if you jump the ball and don't sell out and subsequently win the game and the match and take home a few thousand more, will you be glum because you didn't kick the freakin ball?

These questions are just about ridiculous...

Nice to see "style and class" in the Phillipines translates to Francisco lacks both...he is pretty good with shorty! Same as Alex P. ;) I will let you tell them that ok!

well, style & class is subjective... as in beauty is in the eye of the beholder. for me, it takes more skill and accuracy to make a kick shot than jump it. everybody is entitled to his opinion, right? and i'm just airing mine.

To use a shot specific 'club' seems like a sell out to me. :)

Well, for some it may be a sell out, for others it may be time to sell something to pay the fellow who just jumped his way to victory. :D

BTW, upon Larry Nevel's comments regarding the accuracy of the Stealth jump cue with a leather and not phenolic tip, I bought one, and am very pleased to report that my accuracy and jumping ability after practicing with it for about half an hour really went up. I also have a phenolic tipped jump cue, and it will jump very easily much closer than the Stealth, but for the majority of my jump shots from now on, the Stealth will be my weapon of choice. Top notch.
