To Killer B or Not to Killer B

HGi all, I was wondering if anyone has heard anything about the Killer Bs. I heard from a friend that he heard it was coming back this year. I hope Mario starts it up again.

I know in our area, there is the NE A B tournaments Run by Marc AKA Curly, but I've heard some complaints that there are to many high level players in his events. For me i welcome learning and taking the bumps, but I do understand why some one would feel that way.

And I haven't seen or heard any thing from Chris Leal (spelling) and his Total Pool Tournaments.

I think we need more intermediate and non open level tournaments. I sure hope that there could more for the lower level pl;ayer to cut their teeth :D on.

Thanks Pete

That'd be nice.

I think he's been playing Joss Tourn tournaments.

Me too. For those that didn't figure it out, the Killer B Tour in New England is for "just below A-players". Or "non-Joss Tour cashers." Most of the players are better than your average APA 8-ball SL-7, but not completely competitive on the Joss Tour.

Like any tournament based on skill level, the top performers, should be forced to move on, IMO at year's end.

I think it would be great if Mario came back with the Killer B's. Lots of Joss event players started there and seem to be doing very well.
My buddy Matt is going to start playing in Curly's tournaments so I will definitely know more soon.
It's a tough line because you always want to play better players but it really sucks to know you have no chance to cash.

I never got to play in any Killer B tournies. I am fairly new to competing in pool. I have been in the apa the past 2 1/2 years. I would like to play in some tournies though in the MA area. let me know if any of you hear about any of these tournies

I sent an email to Mario. I will let you know what his response is. I too would love to play in some Killer B events this year.

I'm sorry to say that I will not be holding a Killer B's series this year.

I am traveling a lot for work, which makes it difficult to dedicate the proper time and effort to manage a series of tournaments.

I'm sure most of you are aware that Marc Dionne is promoting a New England A-B Series of events. These events feature a sliding entry fee based on skill level. I have high hopes for this tour. Check out www.totalpool.info for the schedule of this series.
