Tom and Jerry: Pool Table Trouble

I discovered to my delight yesterday afternoon that there is a "Tom and Jerry" cartoon called "Pool Table Trouble." I caught it on the cartoon network. Interestingly, there are no humans in it, just the hapless cat and the survivor mouse. What was exciting was the portrayal of the poolroom. First, it is gigantic. There would have to be forty tables in it with what look like Brunswick Centennials. The place looks neat as a pin--no spitoons, no clutter. The tone of the colors of the balls is accurate. Someone paid some attention to detail. The cartoon begins with Tom playing a "zig-zag" shot and then a three-rail reverse in the side. After that, there are what might be echoes of multiple-ball trickshots. All of the equipment gets called into play, including a "rake" with a wooden head which eventually winds up getting shoved down Tom's throat so that the notches of the head of the rake become the teeth in his smile, and the old-fashioned score wire overhead. The whole thing is nostalgic joy if you can find it. It's probably on the Web somewhere.

CORRECTION: Joey A's later post shows me that the title is actually "Cue Ball Cat."

There is another very well done cartoon with, I think, Donald Duck for 3C.

There is also a very funny pool match with Jerry Lewis (who is about as close to a human cartoon as anyone) in a movie called "Family Jewels" Much of that is on YouTube, or was.
