tom harris?

hi all.

i was at the challenge of champions in uncasville this wednesday and sat next to a rather chatty gentleman by the name of tom harris. it wasnt as annoying as some sitting near me thought (they offered their condolences whilst we were waiting in line for the world cup of trick shots the next day).

anywho he seemed really knowledgeable about the game, said he knew many players personally and was a cuemaker. a casual search of this forum and google didnt turn up much so i was wondering if you all might know tom harris? his cue work? or was i taken in by a poser?

You were not taken in. Tom has been around for atleast 20 years. I'm not sure how much he is building,
 
Tom Harris is listed in the 2nd edition of the Blue Book of Cues as a cuemaker. A while ago, I remember that either Classic Cues, or Cueaddicts had one of his cues. Not completely sure, but I remember reading that he is the only cuemaker that doesn't cut his v splices 90 degrees, but something like 105 degrees or something like that.
