Are tomahawk ferrules hard enough to break? Thinking of using either black tomahawk or phenolic material, which one is harder?

Tomahawk is tuff stuff. Not as hard as phenolic. BTW, i used to break all the time with my ivory ferrule play shaft. NEVER broke one. Tomahawk will put up with breaking.

Phenolic is much harder and better suited for the job.
