I don't have much information, but I have some. 40+ players showed up to play, including Tommy Kennedy, Wade Crane, John Schmidt,Scotty Townsend, Lil John and some road agents. They are down to 16 (8 on the winners and 8 on the loser's side). Some on the winner's side are Jamie Farrell (roomowner), Ricky P., John Schmidt and, and, and my 'information' had to hang up the phone to go play.
They are starting to match up for some jellybeans..
My friend Joey A. was illuminated by Glenn (the other roomowner) and I hope that he doesn't go and Kill Himself... Doug

As reported by AzBer Casey Killian (see: Casey's Cue Collection in the cues Forum):

1st.John Schmidt 2nd.Jamie Farrell 3rd.Wade Crane 4th.Tommy Kennedy 5th.Keith Schilling
John Schmidt put a 5 pack on Jamie Farrell to start the set (race to 11) Final score John Schmidt 11-1 In all fairness to Jamie, John got every roll you could get and then some. Ask John and he will tell you the same thing. That's Pool. Highlight of Tournament was Keith Schilling sending John Schmidt to the loser's side (9-5) Keith also had Tommy Kennedy down (5-1) then Tommy won 8 in a row. Good shooting to all. Smorg. I bought 1 player in the calcutta for ($500) and owned ALL of him. Guess Who.

OK, I'm guessing JOHN SCHMIDT (and you won the entire $1,330). That's why you're my calcutta idol.
Casey has stayed two moves ahead of me for over forty years, I only wish that we could start over... imo

John Schmidt is a true champion

John played exceptional pool and always acts like the true gentlemen he is.
John come from a pretty tough background and that's probably the main reason he's so tough to beat, even though he posses tremendous skills on the pool table. He's out of just about everyone's league on the Gulf Coast, with very few exceptions, if any..... :o

John Schmidt (keeps on running)

After winning the tournament in New Orleans, John Schmidt ran 400 balls while giving a lesson in Straight Pool. John's previous high was 250 balls.
Congratulations John. New Orleans seems to get you in STROKE. Will talk to you soon. Casey.
