Tonkin Cue question

they play great....i prefer his regular shafts over the low def shafts....firm hit but not to hard....the cue i owned was piloted ivory and i liked it...

i have one of his 4 point with veneer cues, with a flat face

it is one of the best playing cues i ever played with
mine jas a bit thicker shafts because i prefer a stiffer shaft

i like it very much,i am now playing a 62inch cue or i would dtill be playing the tonkin

feel free to call and ask any questions
i will sell this one for $1500 and refund the sales price if you don't like the way it plays
or looks

i am fairly confident that you will like the cue

they are among the very best

I just recently got a Tonkin and I really, really love it. It plays fantastic!! And the craftsmanship is incredible.

First off, I'm a banger.. so any review I make on a cue must be taken with that in mind. I have Dean's cue that he mentioned earlier in the thread. It's a flat faced, ivory jointed model with his 3/8-10 modified pin. The cue plays great! I usually play with nothing but piloted cues in ivory or stainless, but this cue plays as well as anything I have ever owned. I've also been in contact with Pete, and with no sale on the near horizon, he still took the time to go back and forth via e-mail for hours. Lie another cue maker that I've been dealing with (and is making me a cue), Kenny Murrell, Pete never makes anything you say sound stupid, never talks down to you, and always has YOUR interests in mind. First class cue, first class cue maker, and a first class guy.. probably my favorite characteristic in any quality cue maker.
