We will be holding an event in honor of our good friend Tony Morrison who passed away in an accident this past Saturday. All money raised will go to his family to help give Tony a proper burial.

We at Gate City Billiards will also donate 10% of our gross sales for the entire day. Please come out to this event or donate to help support one of your own.

The event is this Saturday (Oct 26th) at 2:00pm

Love him or hate him, Tony was funny as hell to listen to and talk to. I had met Tony a couple times before, but first time I really talked to him was at Gate City a couple months ago and it was one of the funniest conversations I've ever been part of.

Gate City is a great place, and this is for a great cause. Hope there's a good turnout to celebrate the life of one of our own and help the family with a proper burial of one of NC's best and most entertaining pool players.
 
The winner of the tournament was BJ Ussery. 1st place paid $800. In total we raised $4,876 for Tony's family. I would like to thank everyone that participated in the event.
 
Sorry I didn't make it out to the tournament but I'm glad there was such a great turnout. It's good to see the pool community rally behind such a good cause in raising money for the family.

Good stuff...and good for you for putting it together. I'll have to make sure to give your place some business when I head up that way.
 
Great Event Don

This was an awesome event:

A lot of good players showed up for Tony. As you looked around the room it was easy to see that North Carolina is a place with a lot of good players.

Dons crowd made everyone feel at home. A bunch of Pool Players on a Saturday.
