I managed a snooker room for two years (me, not Diamond Dave ). Trust me, I’m familiar with the safeguarding of tables. I get shitty when someone sits on the edge of a table. In fact, on the rare occasion someone actually plays at my house, I (very apologetically) ask that they clean their tip off and use a spare piece of Taom chalk I have.

EDIT: Oh, also, while the table I have plays well, the “wood finish” on the skirt and rails is some shitty vinyl wrap they put over particle board or something.
