Hey guys and gals. Tell me who you think are the top male and female players in NYC. Top five in each.

Guys in NYC
1) Mika Immonen (not really a New Yorker, but if you consider him so, then he has the edge.
2) Tony Robles
3) Ginky San Souci
4) Frankie Hernandez
5) tie: Danny Barouty and Eddie "Spanish Pete" Vazquez
7) tie: Flaco Rodriguez and Nicky Schulman

On the men's side, those mentioned already are deserving, but Steve Lipsky and Jonathan Smith are also superb players in the New York City area. I'm rather surprised that they aren't getting more attention in this thread.

As for the women, Gerda Hofstatter, Romana Dokovik, and Jennifer Barretta are certainly the cream of the crop, and are the only three WPBA touring pros in NYC. Though she only plays occasonally, Jean Balukas is still a great player and plays at least as well as any of them. Though not presently playing the tour, Sharon Weis, a former WPBA touring pro, still deserves to fill out the top five.

Yessir, Mika is originally from Finland as many of you know. And yes, he has the edge ! Go Mika ! :D

Isn't Ginky nowadays more into poker scene rather than pool ? And what I've heard, Steve Lipsky is also there. He's a good straight pool player...

I met Sharon Weis at the Derby City Classic. She was Practicing on a table with me. She is very smooth at the table and shows that confidence in her play. very good player. As far as the men, Wheres Silencer? Sam
