This is my way of trying to interject something back into pool.
I'm from Indy and dating back 18 years I have put together teams where I was always the weakest player (and I didn't play bad) but all the other players were the best around. Every year we would at least win our league and picked up city once or twice (most ppl's goal was Vegas or other places)
Anyway, In 2001 I picked up a major sponsor (liquor) and put together a stellar team (one person was considered one of the best players in Indiana to never play in a league) Sponsor picked up meals, weekly fees, and even really nice leather jackets (sorry that 2 of the 7 or 8 didn't get one, hope if I see them again to make it up to them somehow.)
On to the main point of this. There is a great chance that I can pick up another very good sponsor and while back surgeries have kept me away, I would like to put together THE top notch team. I plan to approach the better Indiana players, but I'm putting it out there that if you would be willing to come to league the minimum number of times to qualify for other states tournaments or 2010 Vegas, as I don't know the required number of weeks could be put in before 2009 Vegas.
Entry fees, and plane tickets will be paid for by sponsor. Evening meals as a group would be picked up (because of the way they pay for things, there is no per diem, so if you choose to eat outside of the evening meal time you can do that. 4 hotel rooms will be paid for with 2 beds in each and up front you will be given the $1 coins for the tables.
Indiana has fielded some of the most ridiculous teams I have ever seen, but I know there are players out there who would like to have the chance to get on a team which will get press and such.
