Top Pros Cue Weights

the other side of the coin is the players using joint or butt extensions which push their cue weight up to 22-23 oz

At the risk of eliminating 50% of the discussions on AZB, best cue maker? best tip? best table? best tip shape? best BBQ place in town? As long as it is within a reasonable range of "normal" it really comes down to personal preference.

You can measure deflection & a bunch of other stuff but you can't measure feel.

thx heltok....
I too feel better with the 12.4 and his comments about the handle on his jumper became a decision I also made.
I also took the wt. bolt out of my 19oz Kikel, and the bumper just recently, and my cue is likely the same weight.
His comments about round chalk, rolling, was a big concern of mine, and of course a Williard tip shaper is a must, tho they didn't comment on if it's a dime rounder or a nickel rounder, tho I'm sure it's a Dime.

Filler doesn't like em.... because.... when ''he'' hits thru the shot his tip moves upward.
What I use (I'm 6'6'').
My jump cue, I attach my bridge head to it/rubber grommet.
Easy to move around and pin down/and lift up Quickly.... it's light I leave it together during match play.

All my butts/shafts interchange well, and I lately find the lightest combo works best for playing 14.1 on fast cloth. The tall pros who play with an extension seem to disprove the theory though.
