U can try bigwigs in new market, some really good players there or u can try Dunlop billiards in Barrie really good players there also. Thursday nite they have a vegas league, best players play that nite, A team from there won 8 ball barbox in vegas 2 years ago out of 150 teams. Jan 26 a 8 ball bar box tourney is going on in Barrie race to 5. 80% master players will be in it! U better be capable of ero's, if its a good break an u dont run out, u will lose.

toronto-ish player siging in, how is new time square? never heard of it, only places ive played in the area are shooters for the wed tournament and a place called millies i think.
Bigwigs is a great place too, lots of tables and usually alot of quality players show up, i played my first tournament there last year in there 30k tour, awesome experience.

Is that place on the second floor of a building around the corner from the Worlds Biggest Bookstore ? (I was going to ask if it was across the street from the Zanzibar Tavern but that would cast me in a bad light

I'm originally from Toronto but I live in both Kitchener and Markham for University and co-op respectively.
Mostly this term (in Toronto) I've been playing at Shooters. I've been over to Bigwigs a few times but it's just too damn far north. They're both good rooms with loads of really solid players and nice people.
I've been meaning to try Le Spot in Markham/Scarbrough since they've got a deal from 11AM-7PM for $10 7 days a week. Can anyone comment on how good or bad the place is?
In Waterloo I usually play at Shooters or Doolys. Paradise Pool was a nice place, but it's gone and as far as I know not re-opening. Anyone here from the KW region? Suggestions?
It's nice to see these new 9-ball tournaments at Shooters and Bigwigs starting up. Hopefully this kind of thing (and more) will be around for years to come.

That place must be new, I moved away from TO in 1989, although I'm not sure I'd be visiting there given that evil laugh at the end of your post

tables are ok...couple of gold crowns and one diamond table. as for the cloth, it's ok, i mean it's hard to find a table with decent cloth nowadays anyway, i think there's one or 2 tables they try to maintain the cloth but with any pool hall with the ball bangers around it would be hard to maintain. usually i'm there sundays? i joined a pool league and that's our home game.lacquer said:Thanks Cardinal, I've tried to send you some rep (but I can't say if it's been successful
